How to get prepared to apply?
What and where to study and how to apply is important to enquire. There are lists of colleges that can supposedly accept international students and the list known to be as DLI list. Each province and territory is responsible for their education system. Contact Either Edu Canada or Ministries and departments responsible for education for the knowledge about education in Canada, program search and costs, and more.
Each Canadian post-secondary school has its own set of rules in the method to apply for courses, the required language requirements. It is a must that the process should be started at least twelve months in advance to study in a post-secondary program in university or college.
When the school is contacted they will provide a list of documents that you require to send them which includes but not limited to: cost to apply, tuition fees, health insurance, rent and living expenses, language tests. Once the school admits you, they will send an acceptance letter which you could use to apply for a study permit.
Health Insurance is something the Canadian Government does not provide to foreign students. The health coverage for foreign students is different so as to where they live in Canada.
Student Direct Stream (SDS) issues visas faster depending on the factors such as the place you live now. To make this system work faster, biometrics needs to be provided at the earliest and all eligibility requirements should be met. Along with the study permit you also require either a visitor visa or an electronic travel authorization (eTA) to travel or enter Canada.
