NLPNP subcategorize into 5 options for Express Entry Skilled Worker, Skilled Worker, International Graduate, International Entrepreneur, International Graduate Entrepreneur.
The NLPNP Express Entry Skilled Worker Category is an accelerated pathway to permanent residence for highly skilled applicants. The applicants that come under this category, need to be first accepted by IRCC (Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada) and enter into the Express Entry pool. The NLPNP will boost their CRS Scores in the pool and thereby trigger an invitation to apply for permanent residence. This NLPNP program for Express Entry Skilled Worker category is completely free of cost.
NLPNP Skilled Worker is aimed at prospective immigrants and foreign nationals who have skills for the Newfoundland and Labrador labor market. This NLPNP program is also free of cost.
The NLPNP International Graduate Category is directed to international graduates with a valid post-graduation work permit (PGWP) and wish to permanently settle in Canada. This program does not have any fee to apply.
The International Entrepreneur category applicants are intended to support regional economic development or on high-demand industries or sectors such as agriculture, aquaculture, technology, natural resources and so on. These categories will receive priority however it is a must that all International Entrepreneur applicants applying from outside the province prior to their application submission to Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism, must conduct an initial exploratory visit. Within the International Entrepreneur category there are two streams, starting a new business and purchasing an Existing Business.
The International Graduate Entrepreneur category applicants are addressed to support economic development or focus on high-demand industries or sectors like agriculture, aquaculture, technology, natural resources with priority consideration. While there are two streams of new business and purchasing an Existing Business, there are unique criterias for each stream.
