This economic immigration program administered by governments of Alberta and Canada accredits the nominees to permanently settle in Alberta. This is exclusively to fill job shortages or for entrepreneurs planning to buy or start a business in Alberta.
Alberta Opportunity Stream: This AAIP nomination is facilitated for candidates who live and work in the province of Alberta and have a valid job offer from an employer in Alberta.
Alberta Express Entry Stream: Said candidates on this program are invited for nomination if they have updated profiles on their Express Entry pool as ranging with the minimum requirements, factors in the selection process, as per Alberta’s economic sector and occupational priorities. Healthcare professionals and Technology workers have dedicated pathways to apply in this stream.
Rural Renewal Stream: This stream urges communities to apply and get designated before they could endorse and recruit candidates in this pathway. Temporary foreign workers who belong to designated communities and have a valid job offer from an employer from Alberta can apply for this nomination. Refugees who qualify under Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP) who come under these communities can also get support from a non-governmental referral partner to apply within the AAIP application process.
Rural Entrepreneur Stream: An expression of interest can be submitted for entrepreneurs who wish to start a business or buy an existing business in the rural parts of Alberta.
Graduate Entrepreneur Stream: International graduates who completed their education in a post-secondary institution in Alberta and want to start a business or buy an existing one can submit their application and Expression of Interest.
Farm Stream: Nomination is granted to experienced farmers who put forth plans to acquire or begin a farm in Alberta.
Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur Stream: The candidates who are foreign degree holders from a post secondary institution outside Canada and want to establish a start- up business or innovative business can submit their Expression of interest working with designated agencies.
